HOW ABOUT INJECTION OF COMMONSENSE
The Prime Minister's negative attitude towards the NSW trial of heroin
injecting rooms is grossly irresponsible and unhelpful.
The NSW Government trial is just that - a trial. It is not a permanent
fixture, but an open-minded attempt to test a possible solution to our drug
problems.
Does Mr Howard have any better ideas apart from his empty rhetoric about
"zero tolerance"?
This morning he said he did not support safe injecting rooms. Does this
mean he supports dangerous injecting rooms? We already have those - they
are called the streets.
