SUMMERLAND STAGES DRUG PREVENTION WORKSHOP

Local residents are invited to attend a workshop to learn more about
drugs in their community.

The Drug Prevention Strategies workshop is a follow-up to a crystal
meth public education forum held in June. The forum featured a panel
of local experts in the field.

The Drug Prevention Strategies workshop will include information
about drugs, signs and symptoms, intervention strategies and services
or resources available.

Geared to concerned youth, parents, professionals and community
members who would like to learn how to lower drug use in Summerland,
there will be information and opportunities to ask questions with
Jody Meyer, drug addictions counsellor with Pathways.

The information session will be held Sept. 27 at the SADI Unity Youth
Club located at 9117 Prairie Valley Rd. from 7-8:30 p.m. For more
