SHOWING INJECTIONS SENDING THE WRONG SIGNAL
Every time there is an item about heroin on the TV news, we are shown, in
meticulous detail, the whole process of preparing and administering an
injection. Surely, this is almost normalising the taking of heroin, and
sends much worse signals than the establishing of a safe injecting room does.
It must also make things very difficult for those addicts who are
struggling to overcome their addiction.
