Can anyone in hindsight blame Ismael Mena for his actions? If I were
home asleep after working all night and heard my front door crashing
in and splintering from a forced entry, I too would have grabbed a
weapon to defend myself and my home. Add to this the confusion of
being new to this country and seeing several men dressed in black and
carrying weapons bursting in, and any one of us would have done the
same thing as Mr. Mena.
Is the war on drugs more important than our Constitution and Bill of
Rights? Evidently, it is in Denver.
