WRONG SOLUTION TO HEROIN ADDICTION
I do not believe what Judge Alan Filmer said, that the sentences
imposed on Stephen Reid protect the public.
Stephen Reid became a bank robber to obtain the money needed to
indulge his heroin addiction. But this would not have been necessary
if heroin had not been prohibited. So the sentences were imposed to
protect a legal solution, which is no solution, to the problem of
heroin addiction.
