3 BOYS EAT CRACK, GET HOSPITALIZED
APOPKA, Fla. (AP) -- Three elementary school boys were hospitalized
Tuesday after they ate small amounts of crack cocaine that one of them
found near their school bus stop.
An 8-year-old boy found the bag of crack cocaine before boarding his
school bus and ate it thinking it was candy, said Sgt. Bernie Presha,
a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
A 10-year-old boy on the bus took the bag, consumed some of the crack
cocaine and gave some to a 6-year-old boy, Presha said.
The three boys became sick and were taken to a hospital immediately
after arriving at Lovell Elementary School. They were released a short
time later.
No charges will be filed, Presha said.
