ARCHAIC LAWS
In reading your editorial of Dec. 29, concerning the late Darrell Putman
("Medical heritage"), I was again embarrassed by the realization that we,
arguably the most advanced of nations, could support such archaic laws as
the one prohibiting medical use of marijuana.
I commend the News-Post for its open-minded presentation of this editorial
and have hopes that you will openly support a bill being introduced in the
Maryland Assembly by Delegate Don Murphy which would rectify this
deplorable situation, at least in Maryland.
