ADDICTS HAVE A CHOICE
The Ted Noffs Foundation, which should be reasonably authoritative,
states in an advertisement in Metro on January 7 that "80 per cent of
all crime is heroin-related".
Shouldn't we be taking this into consideration when addressing the
issue of "safe" injecting rooms?
What about the law-abiding victims of the crimes that will be
committed in order to obtain the illegal drugs for "safe"
administration.
At least the drug addicts have a choice. Their victims do not have
that privilege and deserve the protection of the law, not the
facilitation, by the authorities, in the flouting of it as envisaged
in the program.
