SHAMED TORY AND TV'S ALI G SHARED A JOINT

Disgraced Tory Neil Hamilton has confessed to sharing a 'joint' during
filming for a late-night TV show.

He revealed yesterday how he was offered and accepted a puff of "cannabis"
part-way through his interview.

And he told how since meeting cult comic actor Ali G, he had adopted the
patois.

Last month, Hamilton lost a libel action against Harrods boss Mohamed al
Fayed over cash for Commons questions.

Six months ago he was interviewed by Ali G, real name Sacha Baron Cohen,
who loves to mock Establishment figures.

It was for an upcoming off-shoot of Channel 4's The 11 O'Clock Show.

Yesterday, 50-year-old Hamilton said: "He generously offered me a 'joint'.
Of course I tried it. I'm always one for new experiences, as you know.

"It didn't have much effect though, so I think I'll have a stronger one
next time."

Hamilton, who was dumped as Tory MP for Tatton, Cheshire, said he doubted
the joint was real but "would not know" if it was.

And, in a reference to the patois for the company of his formidable wife,
Christine, he added: "Ever since I've met him I've very much enjoyed
'chillin out wid mi bitch'. It's now one of my favourite pastimes."

Christine, 50, said: "Neil and Ali ended up with total 'respect' for each
other."
