A dangerous criminal is on the lam. Call out the Mounties or the National
Guard.

The villain in question is a vicious singer named Whitney Houston, allegedly
caught with a full half-ounce of the killer weed, assassin of youth, at
Keahole-Kona International Airport in Hawaii. Unaware of the perils
marijuana poses to North America's youth, the airport security people merely
asked her to wait for the police. Instead, this deranged maniac rampaged off
to board her plane, and no one gunned her down.

Incredibly, Hawaii County Prosecutor Jay Kimura said his office didn't
usually pursue mainland suspects, while a Big Island police spokesman said
"It's not a major crime. We're one of the major (marijuana) growing areas in
the country."

Haven't they been listening to the rhetoric? Don't they know that 10 million
Americans have been arrested on marijuana charges? Don't they know that the
desperados involved with this substance include not only former Boston
Celtic Robert Parish, a nine-time NBA all-star and the oldest player in the
NBA when he was caught, but also the sinister Bob Denver from Gilligan's
Island?

Don't they know that U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna
Shalala has said, "There is no such thing as a soft drug and there is no
such thing as a drug that is illegal that is not dangerous"? Or that
Elizabeth Dole believes "we must make absolutely clear that drugs are a
personal and national evil that threatens us all"?

Instead, they let her go, to sink further into her degraded life as a wildly
successful popular singer.
