SOME OF DEADLY PAINKILLERS RECOVERED

BROOKSVILLE - As of Friday, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office had
recovered 57 powerful painkillers that had been circulating among
teenagers, according to a spokeswoman.

Some of the pills may have contributed to the death of a 13-year-old
girl Sunday and made two other Hernando County residents violently
ill. Deputies said the tablets of oxycodone hydrochloride had been
taken from the home of a woman who died of cancer last year.

As many as 89 pills may still be missing, said sheriff's spokeswoman
Deanna Dammer. The pills are described as round, greenish-gray, and
imprinted with an 80 on one side and OC on the other.
