EL PASO, Feb. 11 - Drug traffickers are offering a $200,000 bounty for the
murder of U.S. federal agents along the Mexican border, a Border Patrol
official said Friday.
A spokesman for the Border Patrol office in the southwestern Texas town of
Marfa confirmed a KTSM television report that agents in the Marfa region
had been warned in an internal memo of the threat.
"It's a credible threat and it extends all along the U.S border," spokesman
George Swank said.
