SMOKING MARIJUANA HAS NOT CHANGED ME

Dear Editor,

Regarding the front page news of last weeks Mercury, "Operation
Zeus."

It is my opinion; and I dare say, the opinion of many others, that
this has been blown well out of proportion for the amount and type of
drug seized.

Yes I was one of the unlucky sods who was 'dobbed in' (to the
righteous souls responsible, I hope you can now sleep peacefully at
night!).

I believe that smoking marijuana has not changed who I am and what I
have achieved in my adult life, having made a success from my career
as a hairdresser and the previous owner of a successful hairdressing
salon.

At the end of the day I am who I have always been, Sandy Young (not
Joung).

In closing, I realize that there will be a lot of people who disagree
with me and my views, but I ask you to open your minds to the extreme
amount of people who will agree with me.
