ARE MARIJUANA FINES BEING LEVIED?
According to your Feb.11 story, "Vietnamese gangs linked to growing of
marijuana," police estimate there are 7,000 marijuana grow operations
in the Lower Mainland. The provincial government is in a serious
deficit position.
How much revenue has been generated by assessing fines of $5,000
against tenants who operate the grow operations in a rental home
contrary to the Criminal Code and the Residential Tenancy Act?
Taxpayers lose on every occasion when this is not done.
