EX-PRINCIPAL TO PLEAD TO HEROIN RAP

A former elementary school principal has agreed to plead guilty to a
heroin possession charge.

Margaret Loder-Healy, 46, of Merrimac, Mass., was arrested when police
broke up a heroin ring in October. She was principal of Memorial
Elementary School in Newton, N.H., at the time. Since then,
Loder-Healy has resigned following outrage from parents and media
disclosures of more than 20 years of shoplifting and prescription
fraud charges.

In a recent interview on ABC's 20/20, Loder-Healy admitted having been
a heroin addict for years.

"You relinquish your free will once you become addicted," Loder-Healy
told 20/20. Samantha Martin of the U.S. Attorney's office declined to
divulge details of the plea bargain other than Loder-Healy admitted to
the possession and named some of her regular suppliers.
