CLUBS MAY SELL DRUG TEST KITS

NIGHTCLUBS and dance parties may sell test kits so patrons can check the
purity of their drugs.

And some clubs could hire St John Ambulance staff to treat injured or
drug-affected clubbers.

The measures are two of many aimed at curbing drug use and violence at
clubs and raves.

Nightclub owners and other industry heavyweights will debate the plan at a
dance music conference in Sydney this week.

Under one plan, drug testing kits would be sold over the bar or in vending
machines at venues.

The kits contain a chemical which, when applied to Ecstasy or other party
drugs, turns them a certain colour.
