FOUR ARRESTED AS POLICE SEARCH SCHOOLS FOR DRUGS
Four youths were arrested this week after police scoured three city
high schools looking for drugs.
No names were released, and police -- who seized small amounts of
marijuana and drug paraphernalia -- didn't say whether those arrested
were students.
The three schools involved were Centennial CVI, Bishop Macdonell
Catholic High School and St. James Catholic High School.
Maggie McFadzen, spokesperson for the Upper Grand District School
Board, said principals will decide on "consequences" for those
arrested, but declined to elaborate.
The searches were part of regular rotating school blitzes done by
police, she said.
