DID SOCIAL WORKERS HAVE CAUSE FOR CONCERN?

While regrettable that Noel Lujan was wrongly accused of drug abuse,
clearly, the county Children and Family Services agency had some cause for
concern ["Mom loses custody - in error," Front Page, Feb. 11]. She lied
about her prenatal care, this was her fourth child with at least three
different fathers, one of whom she filed a restraining order against. It is
not a crime to be a single mother, but in her case, it is very
irresponsible. The county has required Noel and two of the fathers to take
parenting classes. My suggestion would be that Noel and the fathers of
these children take family planning classes.
