SCHOOL OFFERS REWARD FOR TURNING IN TEENS
Hudson - Hudson High School students who turn in other teens who bring
alcohol, drugs or weapons to school could receive up to $100, under a
new program scheduled to begin in March.
Under the program, students who provide anonymous tips to school
officials will be paid if weapons, alcohol or drugs are found and
seized. The tips will be paid through the Crimestoppers program in
this western Wisconsin community.
The program, patterned after a similar one in Portage County, is
called "Quick 50" because $50 is the average reward expected to be
paid to student tipsters.
