POLICE: TEEN WHO SHOT PAL ATE MUSHROOMS
A Putnam County teenager has been jailed on a second-degree murder
charge after authorities said he killed his best friend with a
shotgun blast after the two ate hallucinogenic mushrooms.
[Name redacted], 16, a high school senior, was arrested Thursday for
the Sept. 15 shooting of Edward Justice Finney Nock, 17, who died a
day later from his injuries.
[Name redacted], was booked into the Putnam County Jail before being
released to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Deputies responded to a 911 call about a disturbance at Nock's home
in Satsuma. When they arrived, they found Nock lying on a bed with
shotgun wounds and found [Name redacted], in the living room. A
shotgun was found near Nock.
