STATES URGED TO STAND FIRM
STATES trialling drug-injecting rooms should stand firm despite criticism
from United Nations drug experts, the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of
Australia said yesterday.
ADCA chief executive officer Caroline Fitzwarryne said governments were
confident the trials would not breach international treaty obligations.
The International Narcotics Control Board said last week governments risked
breaking international law by approving drug injection centres.
