EDITORIAL BOARD NEEDS A HIT
This letter is in response to The Bulletin's editorial regarding the
expansion of the Medical Marijuana Act ( Feb 14).
At first angered by the editorial board's remark that all applications for
expanding the act should "receive due consideration of 30 seconds before
denial," I quickly realized the board members were perfect candidates for
medical marijuana. Their inability to see the compasion and wisdom of
Oregon voters is indicative of their own need to quell their social nausea
with a bong hit ! Their unkind and ill-considered remarks show the extent
of their own dysfunction: civil myopia, intellectual glaucoma, and the
cancer of closed-mindedness.
This " editorial " ( like misspelled Graffiti ) shows the intelligence and
spirtit of its authors, sarcasm oozing from each sentence. Shame on your
board members !
God forbid that you or any of your loved-ones ever get sick from anything,
but if they do, Oregon's medical marijuana act will be there for them too.
On a plaque in my mothers kitchen when I was a child was written " Lord,
make my words tender and sweet today for tomorrow I may have to eat them,"
or maybe smoke them.
