DRUG PROBLEM CAUSED BY UNIVERSITY ATTITUDES
Sir-David Round's views on cannabis (March 4) are very seductive, but
laced with misinformation.
Our failure to control and eliminate our drug problem stems from
attitudes spawned in our universities, decades ago. Those libertine
philosophies have been transported into Parliament and the judiciary.
The result is no public confidence in the system and no trust in
politicians.
All the key constitutional institutions are infested with lawyers.
Many members of the legal fraternity and intellectual elite are the
architects of our misfortune, and they now wish us to sacrifice our
children for their crazy social experiment.
I am all for a binding vote on the question, where the influence of
people like Mr Round and the orchestrated demands of his friends on
the loopy Left will come down to one person, one vote.
