LOST OPPORTUNITY

The safest and most versatile medicinal herb in the world, and the
Tories don't want to fund research into it. That does not surprise me
in the least. I expect the $4 million they won't be spending on
medical marijuana research, they will be spending on some idiotic
anti-pot campaign aimed at kids.

Canada could be in the vanguard of medical marijuana research, but
this "new" government wants to let that opportunity slip by. The
economic opportunities, and Canada's reputation in the world of
medical research, would skyrocket, but not now.

I wonder if this decision was influenced by the Tories'
quasi-moralistic ideology, or by their industry-loving economic
polices? Thanks to their friends in the Tory government, Big Pharma
won't have to worry about medical marijuana taking away too many more
of their customers.

Not until the next election, anyway.
