STUDENT GAVE GRANDMOTHER CANNABIS CAKE

A STUDENT who gave her grandmother a cake baked with cannabis was ordered
yesterday to do 240 hours' community service.

Lorna Milburn, 23, claimed that she was trying to get Mary Docherty, 77, to
relax when she visited her home in Largs after returning from Westminster
University for the summer holidays.

However, Kilmarnock Sheriff Court was told that Mrs Docherty felt so
strange after eating the cake that she thought she was having a heart
attack. Milburn, a multi-media student from Streatham, south London,
admitted supplying cannabis. The court heard that she was now estranged
from her grandmother.
