SHOOTING GALLERY NO CURE FOR SHARPS

A YOUNG boy picks up a syringe at Forrest Primary School and the
mother, naturally distressed, calls for safe injecting rooms. Does the
lady really believe that any drug addict insensitive and inhumane
enough to discard a needle in a children's school is going to stand
around waiting half an hour for a bus to Civic, or spend their drug
money on a taxi, or God forbid drive their car there, just to shoot
up? Wake up, people! The opening of a shooting-up gallery in Civic
will in no way diminish the number of needles discarded in the suburbs.
