REJECTING ALL ADVICE

In 1997 Tony Blair said that he would not consider decriminilising or
legalising cannabis even if that were the recommendations of a Royal
Commission.

Since then, he has dismissed the recommendations of, among others, the
House of Lords Select Committee, the Cleveland Police Authority, 2
chief constables in Scotland, Edward Ellison, ex-head of Scotland
Yard's Drugs Squad, and now the Police Foundation. Ah well, at least
he's being consistent.
