CITY BILL WOULD OK POT FOR MEDICAL USE
Santa Cruz residents would no longer need a doctor's note or
prescription to smoke marijuana for medical problems under a new
proposal being considered by city leaders.
The proposed ordinance says that people who are being treated for
cancer,anorexia,AIDS,chronic pain,spasticity,glaucoma,arthritis,migraine
headaches "or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief"
will be allowed to grow and use pot.
