MEDICAL POT WORKS, BUT COPS WON'T LET IT

Excellent article by Laura Hamburg. We know several people with a variety
of health problems who have been helped by marijuana. the people have voted
Proposition 215 into law, yet the police in Monterey quickly shut down the
first and only medical marijuana clinic.

A friend of mine, suffering from nausea caused by a tumor which had
destroyed his balance canal, was told by three doctors that marijuana would
help, and they wished they were allowed to prescribe it. He obtained some
illegally; it immediately alleviated his symptoms without the side-effects
of prescription drugs, which would have made it impossible for him to
continue to work.
