POSITIVE TEST
In arguing against drug testing of students because drug users are aware
that heroin, ecstasy and cocaine exit the body after about two days
(Letters, April 1), Robert Sharpe has forgotten the essence of addiction to
drugs. The vast majority of takers of these drugs can't (or won't) last two
to three days without a hit. Hence drug testing within the appropriate time
frames will succeed. Once identified, something positive can be done.
