ADVANTAGES OF THE HARM MINIMISATION
Once again Alex Wodak has, with compassion and conviction, shown the
advantages of the harm minimisation over the zero tolerance approach
to illicit drugs. His well-researched factual information presents a
convincing argument.
No doubt Wodak's article "Minds wide shut on drugs" will appeal to the
Prime Minister who has recently shown his preference for a "facts"
approach in discussions relating to reconciliation and the stolen generation.
Anyone in touch with our society and its social issues knows we cannot
eliminate or even curtail the availability and use of illicit drugs,
so isn't it time the Howard Government faced this fact, and provided
greater support to reduce any harm to individuals, their families and
our community?
