THERE'S A GRASS TAX ON THAT GRAM

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. (CP) -- Police say two men accused of selling
marijuana charged their customers sales tax and even issued them receipts.

City police Capt. Jacques Fontaine said it's the first time he's seen
alleged drug traffickers hand out receipts or charge tax on their
illegal goods.

Gave Receipts

Police arrested the pair after receiving a tip from the public
alleging one of the men sold the drugs from his store, often to young
clientele.

When an undercover police officer went to check it out, he too was
charged tax, then given a receipt.

The men have been charged with trafficking in cannabis and possessing
proceeds of crime.
