PRO-MARIJUANA CROWD TO RALLY

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma marijuana supporters will rally Thursday at
the Capitol to protest laws making the drug illegal and to lobby for
their repeal.

The event will begin at 3 p.m. There was no estimate on how many will
participate, but Jeff Pickens of Stillwater said Oklahomans from every
part of the state "will be gathering for a well-organized
demonstration. The purpose of this event is to bring people together
to change the marijuana law," he said.

Those who support the legalization of marijuana say the laws barring
its possession and use are a failed social policy.
