WEREN'T THEY CALLED 'SAFE'?
So we are having supervised injecting rooms. Even Dr David Penington is not
calling them "safe injecting rooms" any more. Rightly so. For the 2 to 5
per cent of users who do overdose, this situation is not safe at all. It
just allows them to overdose, and then be revived so they can overdose
again. What good is this to them, or to the community? Why not pick them up
in the targeted five municipalities and get them into treatment instead?
