DANGEROUS AND TWISTED LOGIC

I am suspicious of some of the logic involved in the provision of drug
injecting rooms. What is being said to drug users is: "We will provide
a safe place for you to use an illegal drug." Surely this idea would
be more acceptable if the dangerous drugs were legalised.

It is suggested that injecting rooms should be sited not far from the
source of supply. If the sources of drug supply are known, the
suppliers should be apprehended and put out of business.

This is on a par with warning prisoners that no illegal drugs will be
allowed in prison and then offering to provide clean needles for
injecting an illegal substance. Twisted logic is dangerous.
