CUSTOMS PUT DRUGS IN HER HOLIDAY BAGS
FREDERICTON - After returning from a Florida vacation, Jackie
McCormick found a plastic bag of marijuana in her luggage with a
Revenue Canada label attached to it.
"My eyes just about popped out of my head," the 70-year-old woman
said.
She learned the drugs had been planted at the Moncton, N.B., airport
as part of a dog-training exercise.
Jacinthe LeBlanc, a spokesperson for Canada Customs, admitted a
mistake: "We sincerely apologize. We're sure it created some stress."
