Toronto -- Re Love Puts An End To Life On The Lam For U.S. Fugitive
(April 25): It is scandalous that Canada cannot do more to protect
Allen Richardson from U.S. authorities. He has led an exemplary life
in Canada, his wife is fighting cancer, and yet U.S. officials want to
imprison him for a minor, victimless offence 30 years ago.

That's America for you. They tell Elian Gonzalez that it's the land of
freedom, but for Mr. Richardson and who knows how many others, it is a
land of malicious, vengeful persecution and political show trials.
Where is the justice for this man?
