HEY WAITER, THERE'S GRASS IN MY COFFEE

HALIFAX - Roll up the rim and score some weed.

That's not the average drive-through order, but it may have been
available at a downtown Tim Hortons.

Two 19-year-old women have been charged with drug trafficking after
allegedly selling marijuana to customers at the doughnut shop's
drive-through window.

The store manager thought something was wrong when customers kept
ordering 15-pack boxes of Timbits - a selection not available on the
international chain's menu.

"If you heard that order once or twice, you wouldn't think anything of
it," said Tim Hortons spokesperson Patti Jameson.

"But perhaps because she heard it more than once or twice, that's what
twigged her (suspicions)."

On one occasion when the 15-pack order was placed, the manager
intercepted a cup that contained a small quantity of marijuana.

Police were then called in.

Both employees were fired.

"The manager wanted to ensure it was made abundantly clear as quickly
as possible that Tim Hortons does not condone this kind of behaviour
by either staff or customers," Jameson said.

Names of the women will be released when they make their appearance in
court June 27.
