TRAIL HIGH SCHOOL DECLARES SURROUNDING AREA "DRUG FREE"
TRAIL - Signs have gone up around a high school declaring the area a
drug-free zone.
Trail RCMP and students at J.L. Crowe senior secondary school created the
zone to combat drug use around the school.
"The idea is to set up a no-tolerance perimeter," said George Braithwaite ,
a crime-prevention officer. He said penalties, including probation and
community service, could be tripled if anyone is caught trafficking.
Student council voted unanimously to create the zone.
