SAY NO TO TANCZOS

Sir-The principals of Burnside and Riccarton high schools should be
congratulated on the common-sense stand they have taken with the main
proponent for the decriminalisation of cannabis, one Nandor Tanczos.

Rod Donald, no matter what he says, will not change the public's
perception, that, Tanczos, the self-confessed drug user/cult follower,
is promoting a drug culture. The question of debate on this issue is
of little value, as the Government has indicated its intention to pass
decriminalisation legislation. To this end, it has stacked the review
committee. A "conscience" vote in Parliament will follow. Education is
to be the panacea for any problems, just like our attempts to educate
the public on speeding, drink driving, and safe sex. Need I go on?
What a mess.

For those who are concerned about their children, time now to say a
loud "no" to Nandor.
