ZARIMA SIX MONTHS PREGNANT

JAKARTA - Former television soap opera star and alleged ecstasy
dealer Zarima Mirasfur is six months pregnant, it was announced yesterday.

Zarima has since October last year been in Pondok Bambu Women’s
Penitentiary in Tangerang, West Java, charged with possession of
various drugs.

The identity of the man who caused her pregnancy is a
mystery.

Rumors that the sultry celebrity had been knocked up were confirmed
when a female doctor examined her earlier this week.

"It is 100% true that she is pregnant, even though she has been kept
in a locked cell," Tangerang Justice Department spokesman Iman Santoso
was quoted as saying by detik.com.

He denied that a male member of the prison staff was responsible for
the pregnancy. "I can guarantee to all of you journalists here, that
no employees of Tangerang women’s jail were involved in the incident.
Allowing a prisoner to get pregnant is against the law."

Zarima, a former national badminton champion, refused to accept any
visits from curious tabloid journalists yesterday. "She has even
signed a letter telling the wardens not to allow any journalists to
see her. It is her right to decide whether she will reveal the
identity of the man who made her pregnant," said Iman.

Zarima’s lawyers, Paskhalis Pieter and Roy Rening, also told reporters
to quit hounding their client, as she has a lot of problems.

Despite being pregnant, Zarima has said she will attend the next
session of her court case.
