COVER HEMP ISSUE THOROUGHLY

I was surprised to learn that Alaskans will be voting this November on
whether to legalize marijuana in this state.

There are some interesting and perhaps even convincing arguments for
legalizing marijuana. There also appear to be some legitimate concerns about
it.

I hope the ADN will cover both sides of this issue. I plan to vote this
fall, and I want to make an informed decision. I believe one of the most
important functions of mass media is to cover political debates such as the
marijuana question before the voters this fall. Please cover both sides so
we can decide what's really best for Alaska.
