ECSTASY INVESTIGATION NETS 25 ARRESTS
LOS ANGELES-A ring that allegedly used cocktail waitresses, strippers and
others
to smuggle millions of dollars worth of the party drug Ecstasy into
the USA has been smashed with the arrests of 25 people, authorities
said. Among those charged was Jacob "Koki" Orgad, 44, and Israeli
immigrant who authorities said was the leader of the Los Angeles-based
ring. A 23-count indictment said the ring employed 30 to 50 couriers
who posed as tourists or business executives.
