FORGET COMPASSION, IT'S SIMPLY PRACTICAL
Compassion be damned. The "practical" reasons for injecting rooms exceed
any moral price the users may pay for their addiction, whether it be
regarded as a disease or a moral failing.
The good Father Chifley (Opinion, 13/6) should take the time to learn the
history of heroin, especially its use and abuse, before it was prohibited.
May I suggest "The Case for Legalizing Drugs" by Richard L. Miller.
