RUGENDYKE TO BE COMMENDED
THE STANCE taken by MLA Dave Rugendyke on the funding of the Safe Injecting
Room is to be commended. How can any politician charged with the
responsibility of managing the territory's affairs consider supporting any
motion that is not only against the public's best interests but also
illegal. The assembly members who have supported the "safe" injecting room
should all be charged with aiding criminals to break the law. A ''safe"
injecting room is not going to do anything to rid the ACT or any other state
of its drug problems, it is only going to keep addicts alive longer and the
drug dealers in business. I can only hope that Paul Osborne and Trevor Kaine
side with Dave Rugendyke and block the funding of this illegal operation.
