POLICE BUST ANOTHER DRUG SYNDICATE IN KLANG
Klang: Another drug syndicate, based here and involved in manufacturing and
distributing amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS) pills, was busted with
police recovering about RM5mil worth of raw materials and Ecstasy pills.
In the pre-dawn raid by the state narcotics department at a double-storey
house in Taman Sentosa on Sunday, two suspects, a male in his 30s and a
woman in her late 20s were detained.
Police also seized two blending machines, four kilos of Ecstasy in powder
form and 180 Ecstasy pills from the house.
It is learnt that the house was used as a base for the illegal operation to
supply ATS pills around the Klang area the last six months.
Police, who acted on a tip-off, are investigating whether there are more
people involved in the operation.
The two suspects are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous
Drugs Act for manufacturing and supplying drugs.
District deputy OCPD Supt Rusni Hashim confirmed the incident and said
police were still investigating the case.
This is the second successful operation by the police within two weeks in
busting drug syndicates involved in manufacturing and supplying drugs here.
