HAVOC CAUSED BY BAN ON CANNABIS
P. WHITE ("Get it right on cannabis", "Mailbag", July 5) and Philip
Solan ("Don't ignore drugs dangers", June 30) both miss the essential
point about the cannabis debate.
Whether the drug is harmful or harmless matters little when comparing
it to the havoc caused by its prohibition in your country, mine and
the world.
The real issue is who has the power and who doesn't? It's odd that we
all so freely cede it to our governments.
