IT'S A DISEASE
WHEN is Premier Richard Court going to understand that opiate
addiction is a disease? The disease involves physiological changes
with the blood vessels close to the opiate receptors.
The receptors and the blood vessels are damaged in the same way that
the pancreas is damaged with diabetes.
Why prolong the disease when it can be cured? Naltrexone cures the
disease by covering the opiate receptor. The craving is controlled.
Why prolong the disease by using increased amounts of
opiates?
Thank you, Dr George O'Neil, for curing my disease.
B. MCKENZIE, Karrinyup.
