KRIEGER DEFIANT OVER POT
Grant Krieger hasn't stopped using and distributing marijuana, so he
doesn't see any reason to make monthly visits to the probation office.
The 46-year-old Calgary advocate for medicinal marijuana use appeared
in court yesterday for missing two appointments with his probation
officer.
"Why should I waste her time?" he said.
"I haven't stopped what I'm doing."
Krieger, who has multiple sclerosis, is on probation for a 1999
marijuana distribution conviction.
"If I have a (pot) muffin at night, I wake up and walk flat-footed
like a normal person," he said.
His court hearing on the probation violations was postponed until Aug.
