CLEARBROOK CRIME SHOULD BE CLEANED UP BEFORE THE AREA TURNS INTO
ANOTHER WHALLEY

The Editor:

I used to live and work in the Whalley area of Surrey and moved out
this way back in 2000 to get away from the druggies and street people.

But it seems to me that in the past couple of years the amount of
street people, prostitution and drug deals going on in the Clearbrook
Road and Peardonville Road area in Abbotsford are heavily increasing.

On some days I can sit in my place and watch between 10-20 drug deals
and people smoking drugs out of glass tubes and shooting up at the
church or the small park across the street.

This is getting pretty bad out here.

I have contacted the police a few times only to get a standard, "We
are currently working on it," reply in which nothing happens.

I just wish and hope that something is done about all this before
this nice neighborhood turns into another Whalley.
